Mount Kailash is a holy mountain, the domicile of Lord Shiva, one of the greatest Hindu deities. It is, however, an equally seminal site for Buddhists. Thus the sacred land of both Hindus and Buddhists, Mountain Kailash jointly with Mansarovar Lake entertains thousands of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims every year. Not only important for pilgrims, Kailash Peak and Manasarover Lake that are situated above 4500m above sea level equally fascinate thousands of tourists every year. The highest elevation on the Tibetan plateau, Manasarovar is the source of rivers, very famous and source of civilizations south Asia, like Indus, Sutlej, Brahamaputra and Karnali.
You will first arrive at Kathmandu Airport and stay at a Hotel. During the formalities for your visa and permit for Tibet Tour, we provide you with sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley in which you will visit the Durbar Square, the Swoyambhunath, the Boudhanath and the Pashupatinath, all included in the World Heritage sites.
Simikot Kailash Tour begins from Simikot, after taking a flight from Nepalgunj, a lowland town in the western Terai in Nepal. We cross a high pass at Nara La and descend to Humla Karnali River to reach the border village of Hilsa and Khojarnath. We will then drive to the region's trading centre at Taklakot (Purang). From Taklakot we will drive to Manasarover Lake.
The next day, you will offer some puja (worship) and also take a holy bath in the Manasarovar Lake. After the bath you will move round Lake by Jeep. The parikrama (moving round the lake) is about 115 km long and normally takes 4 to 5 hours. Even in between the parikrama you will take a holy bath near Trugu Gompa. You will most probably visit Chui Gompa for hot spring bath as well.
We will drive you to Darchen (4620m), a small village with few guesthouses located under the splendid holy Mount Kailash, during afternoon. You will see the caravan of pilgrims this time around. You will then trek to Serrlung Monastry to visit Asthapath which offers an excellent view of Nandi Parvat and Mount Kailash.
You will then drive to Tarboche and trek to Dirapuk. You will also trek to Zuthulphuk then to Darchen and drive back to Paryang. Eventually you will drive back to Kathmandu from Kerung.
We will drive you to Kerung Border, where we finish the final formalities to exit Tibet before Entering Nepal. After clearing the formalities at Nepal border we proceed to Kathmandu for a comfortable night stay. This is how you will wrap up your exciting and unforgettable trip to Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake trip!

Satori Adventures and Expedition aims at giving proper information to many travelers, trekkers and climbers who have some confusion regarding the booking process of the trip in Nepal. Satori Adventures therefore desires to provide guideline for the first-time visitors or travelers so that they can comfortably start the process to book the selected package legally. Before starting the booking process we always advise our trekkers, travelers and climbers to intelligently check whether the company is genuine and whether they are fully safe to travel in the company’s guidance. We ask them to be acquainted with the company they want book their holiday trip with. Is the company genuine and authorized from Government of Nepal, Office of the Company Registrar, Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Rastra Bank ‒Central Bank of Nepal (authorized for foreign currency), Permanent Account Number (PAN), and the Department of Cottage & Small Industries). Are they financially secured and environmentally conscious? We advise them to make sure about these formalities because there are some companies in Nepal that have been running business without abiding by the rules and regulation of the Government. Some companies were once registered but by now their licenses have already been expired and yet they have providing the services illegally.
On many occasions, Government of Nepal and Trekking Agency Association of Nepal have found that many foreigners’ tour operators, NGOs and INGOs have been involved in directly operating tours, trekking, and mountaineering holiday adventures without having government license and abiding by the Government rules. It has been also found that many individuals, freelance guides and porters have been arranging trips illegally by creating their own personal website. We have observed that many trekkers and climbers face a host of problems once they arrive in Kathmandu as they lack adequate information. Many of them file complaints to Government of Nepal and Trekking Agency Association of Nepal for legal action such as the refund of the advanced payment. There is hardly any justice given to the cheated clients. Thus, so as to prevent all these probable problems we request our travelers to check the company before booking any trip to the Himalayas.
