One of Nepal's most famous holy sites and religious destinations is Muktinath Dham Darshan. It is a sacred temple situated in the Annapurna Conservation Area within the laps of snow-capped mountains of Throng La pass, which is at 3710m altitude and 22km North East of Jomsom in the Mustang region.
Muktinath Temple words are derived into two words "Mukti" and "Nath". Mukti means “Nirvana” or “Salvation”, whereas Nath means “Master or God”. Muktinath Temple is open all day a year, and on the special occasion of Ram Navami, Rishitarpani, and Bijay Dashami, many pilgrims gather there to celebrate these festivals. In addition, thousands of pilgrims, mostly Hindus and Buddhists, visit the temple yearly and believe bathing in Muktinath cleanses the lifetime's sins.
