One of the recently opened hiking routes in the Annapurna region is the Khopra Danda Trek. The Khopra Danda walk, also known as the Khopra Ridge trek, is a fantastic substitute for the busier and more well-liked Ghorepani trek because it takes you higher and to another incredible Annapurnas perspective. Northeast of Pokhara, on the border of the districts of Myagdi and Kaski, is where you'll find the Khopra Danda Khayer Lake Trek. The Dhaulagiri settlement of Ghorepani is pretty near to the Khopra Ridge. If you want the ideal week-long tour with stunning scenery, this walk is one to consider. Before ascending Khopra Ridge, the path follows a local track that leads you into a valley to the north of Ghorepani. One of the most excellent short treks in Nepal, without a doubt.
It takes you to off-the-beaten-path locations past towns and settlements into the untamed wilderness of the mountains and dense, isolated forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine, where you can see traditional villages, Gurung and Magar settlements, terraced farms, and magnificent mountain peaks (such as Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Tukuche Peak) as well as Poon Hill in the Annapurna region.
In the heart of the Annapurna area of western Nepal, at a height of 4500 meters, the Holy Khayer Lake is a revered body of water. According to legend, praying and offering the lake can increase a woman's fertility. As a result, it is well-liked by devotees of Buddhism and Hinduism.
A memorable day trip from Khopra Danda is to Khayer Lake. The main draw of this hike is one of the most picturesque blue lakes at the base of Annapurna South. Plan to climb up and down to Khayer Lake from Khopradanda for six to seven hours, and bring water and a packed lunch. Trekkers frequently travel to Khayer Lake to view the Himalayan Range and Lake. Peaks and glaciers surround the lake. At Khayer Lake, there is a modest temple honoring Khayer Barahai. The Magar and Hindu groups can participate in pilgrimages there. The spring and fall seasons are the best times to see Khayer Lake on a day trip from the Khopra Danda.
