Satori Adventures is proud to announce that the 2016 spring climbing season has been a huge success. After another season of hard work in the high mountains we have put 6 clients and 7 Sherpa Guide’s on the summit of Mt. Everest! With no accidents to report we couldn’t be happier with the news. All of our clients are now back to Kathmandu safely and await their final departure back to their homes. Safety before success is always our motto in the high Himalaya, we pride ourselves on having a safe adventure operation that does not take unnecessary risks. With our experienced and qualified staff our clients always report feeling safe and taken care of during the duration of the expedition. The North side of Everest is less crowded than the Nepalese side but climbers in the North face harsher winds off the Tibetan plateau and no possibility of rescue.
This was the first season that anyone has seen the summit of Everest since the terrible earthquakes last year. The season went on quite normally with its normal highs and lows. Unfortunately, Everest has claimed some lives this season as well as some cold and altitude related injuries. But success has been seen now on the South and North sides. Late May proves year and year to provide excellent weather windows for those seeking the summit of the worlds highest peak.
All of us at Satori Adventures would like to give thanks to the brave clients and our hardworking staff for another great season on Everest. We look forward to another great season with you next year!
